My HHR just turned 4 years old and 80K miles. No issues with the battery yet, but I may want to consider replacement before winter......

 

I just replaced mu battery in my HHR 2006, just over 58543 miles, the key fob would open and lock but had to try several times and be closer, just had the alternater replaced, $509.42, I changed a few but I would not do the one in my HHR, I bought a Bosch from Pep Boys because I would not have anything to do with yhe Chevy dealer where I live.

 

Yeah, you have to exercise the radar detector, or the battery will deteriorate If you got one you need to use it! hehe,

 

Just to say it and attract flames... the specification of a battery is standard across brands, i.e. they are all the same if the numbers on the labels are the same (type, CCA, warranty, etc.). Flame retardant has been applied, so don't even try.
