How to tell if I have ABS...wheel bearing
#31
Timken sources from KBI, GM's OEM supplier. Precision is decent Chinese, housebrands like Duralast and PartsPro are lower end Chinese parts. National/BCA is owned by Federal Mogul, most of thier hub units are made by Ilgin in Korea, Ilgin is OEM to Hyundai/Kia. I have seen all brands fail, usually what determines hub assembly life is the quality of the seals. Cheaper units have cheaper seals allowing contamination into the bearing. Even the cheapest units will last 50,000 miles usually, OEM units sometimes 100,000 miles+. The operating environment plays a big part also, cars subjected to salt and harsh winters or trucks used off road usually go through things like bearings quicker.

A quick search using the Search Tool at the top of the page looking for - hub nut size - quickly found several answers........ "30 mm".
GM does specify that the nut should be replaced at the same time as the hub - ie: the nut is not reusable.
