I can do the same job for cheaper. I know its like 2K for paint, and nice rims are 1K. So your paying extra for what?

Agreed, even if the rims/tires are 2k you're still ahead.

I'm going to ask my buddy, who is a paint specialist (ASE cert) at GM dealership, how much $$$ he would charge to do the job. (as a side job)

I'm guessing around $2000.
