June auto sales report
The demand for smaller fuel efficient cars combined with manufacturers not being able to keep up with that demand, should bode well for resale value and trade-in value on our HHR's.
I hope it does. I'm considering trading in my HHR.

What did the five fingers say to Toyota's face?

SLAP!
I like how the article states that GM was in such mortal danger of losing its sales position to Toyota, but managed to "just hold on" to it with a last minute sale. Yeah, by a 70,000 vehicle margin! That's not holding on, that's winning, and it's a big middle finger to the media who predicted all month that Toyota would win. They didn't sell 70,000 units in three days and just "hold on to it".

Yep, my 03 Cavalier w/2.2 Ecotec is worth more now than I paid for it in 05. Wow, it looks like 37 mpg highway is worth a lot these days.
To be honest, I got a magnum deal in 05, so YMMV.
I'm not going to go all patriotic and dump on 'Yota, but I'm pleased with my GM purchases so far. I sure hope they wake the hell up and start producing more cars we will all buy.
