Just an observation...
I am in Mexico again, by the time this trip is over I will have spent a combined two months in central Mexico- Aguascalientes. In this whole time I have seen 3 HHR's.It's just rather odd that there are so few in the country that builds them
While they were available to purchase in the Mexican home market, sales never materialized and they were dropped in early 2009. I guess it was hard to sell American style retro looks in a place where they didn't mean anything. I suppose the average Mexican gear-head probably gets sentimental over the VW Beetle or maybe the home market Dodge Darts which seemed to be everywhere 20 years ago.

In todays market most cars will have to be sold in 2-3 world markets.
It was bad the last time I was there and I can only imagine what it is now. Too many people think all of Mexico is like Cancun or Cobo.
Some of the parts I was in were was more like the town Mo Eisley in Star Wars. That Cantina scean has to be taken from a real experience south of the border.
It's not all Cuidad Juarez either.
There are areas here you don't want to go (Graffiti is the universal clue) but there is a big mall across from the Marriott, and the first time down here I had a fantastic room right on the festival de San Marcos plaza downtown. I would have stayed there again if it wasn't for the brutal traffic getting fom downtown to the customer's site. Great food, nearly everyone was friendly (to my face at least), and cops patrolling with AK-47's, what more could you want?
