Key Chimes

I was always happy that with GM vehicles you could leave the key in and just pull it out a little and the dinging would stop....But WAIT........not with my 08 HHR SS! What's up with that! It's so annoying that you have to take the key all the way out to make it stop. Has anyone found a way to alter this?

Key Tones

I kind of like having the key tone and really don't find it distracting. In fact, it's the first time in the last five cars that I've owned that I could actually hear the tones!!!

turn the key all the way to run but dont start the car and it should stop.you may also turn off the headlight so the car will not run down the battery

no wires it is apart of the bce or ecm and it is tied in with the raido. so if you replaced your raido the ding will go away
