Confirmed it's the keyfob.

I have two. I opened them, cleaned the contacts with alcohol and a rubber eraser. Also re-soldered the battery connector in the keyfobs. Batteries tested at 3.2V.
I tried out the keyfobs. It seemed to take a few presses to get them synced to the car or something but eventually one started working with all functions.
The other still won't unlock any doors but it will perform the other functions.
