Lamp Guard Protectors Review
I bought a set of LampGuard protector covers for my SS.
There are several on the market but I bought the Weathertech by Mc Neil for mine since I have them at work.
They are made of quality 3M material and covers for the head lights and the regular HHR fog lamps. It also has a squeegy in the kit.
You need to make a spray of Alcohol and water. [Rubbing not Jack D].
You spray the head lights down and the covers on the sticky side. Line them up and squeegy the moisture out from the cover.
The covers may not want to bend on the edge. I did let mine sit in the sun but still used a heat gun to get all the edge to lay right.
You will not get all the moisture out at one time. It will have a little fogging or cloudyness to them. This will vanish in several days to a week.
I would recomend doing these in temps over 60 degrees as they are easier to work with.
I did not post a photo as they would look just like stock head lamps.
With stock GM head lamps it is only a matter of time before you get the lamp chipped or pitted. These covers will protect them for years.
I would give the Weathertech Guards a 10 out of 10 stars. There are other similar products out there and they may be as good. I would recomend to look for 3M on the material as it is the best I have seen.
I wish I had them on my wifes car 4 years ago since her headlamps are all pitted.
