Late model automatic shifter w/leather boot
Does anybody know if the later model (2009-2011) automatic shifter assy with leather boot (GM part#20865028) will work with a 2007 HHR auto? It looks way cooler and I want to replace mine as the PRNDL light is shorting out. GM parts book says will not fit. I'm wondering if the wiring is different or if the BCM wont play nice with it. Thank you!

The indicator bulb , a #37 is in the shifter ,but not included in a new shifter .
