Man, I hate to keep picking your brain; but, did you order it off of GM Parts Direct or from the dealer?

Chad,

I'm confused. You bought the entire shifter assembly, but only used the top part?? So you have a new shifter assembly with the top missing??? Or am I totally lost. I want to change mine out but I want to replace the entire assembly. Has anyone swapped the entire assembly or am I going to be the first to try this?

No if you look at the old thread a few people swapped the whole thing. I swapped only the white piece and the top piece. There was no need for me to replace the hole unit I just wanted the new style with the little slot.

Yeah, I wanted the top part also; but the key stuck problem crept up so I need to change the solenoid; which means pulling the whole thing. So, for a few bucks more than the solenoid, I can get the whole kit and caboodle.

By the way, Chad, what year is yours? Man, I love them wheels!
