I'm not sure that I've ever seen an HHR with bump strips on the doors. It would be nice to come up with something that looks good though.

Yes, but not with unsightly plastic strips. I park a little bit away from other cars. If possible at the end of a row with an island on the end when I can. I always park in a way that doesn't make it obvious that I'm trying to avoid dings. In other words, park straight and in between the lines, don't take up two spots, or park on a strange angle. People that take up two spots are just asking for some fathead to come along and key their cars. It's like an invitation. And stay away from the cart corals! Not to mention that parking a little farther away is good exercise, and is faster because I never cruise around looking for parking.

Our HHR has exactly one small chip on the passenger rear door "flare". Apparently from an SUV or light truck that we just picked up last week. Other than that, it looks like new. Our vehicles escape most of the dings that others seem to get so easily.

It could of been a mini cooper with a lift kit.

What's really funny is that a friend of mine saw a Mini with 20 in wheels on it. So it really wouldn't surprise me if someone attempted to lift one.

I hadn't even made the first payment on our HHR when my Wife came home from shopping one day and there was a small crease in the left front fender just above the "GM" chiclet and it extended back into the fender flare on the door. I figure it had to be from a shopping cart. Body shop wanted $700.00 to repair it! Needless to say, they are still there four years later!

You joke now but a Mini SUV is coming. It is a lifted awd clubman like cross over.

dude the prototype of that look good. IMO. I like the clubman s and would love to get one for my wife to use as a DD. Although I have heard that mini's are above average for having to take in for repairs.
