I must remind you that Mexico is part of America, just not part of the United States of America. Canada also shares North America as well, as the USA and Mexico.

 

That is just it there lines here in North America are all set up buy the same people using much the same equipment.

To say that HHR problems are related to the vehicle being made in Mexico is a big stretch. What about the Toyotas built in the USA that self accelerate? Anything made by humans could and probably will have some type of failure.

Have almost 90K on my HHR and for the most part it has been a good car. Have had both the front hub bearings go out around 81K and 87K but both covered under warranty Wiper Transmission crapped out right around 87K too. 243 bucks to replace that. Brakes have been so so.

My one concern with it now is that after sitting over night when you first start it there is a ..well sounds like a rattle/roar that last like 2 seconds then stops...almost like oil isn't where it needs to be. Start ups the rest of day are fine.

Been thinking of something new but I sure do like the heated seats this time of year

Suddenly the news:
Drunken fool at the Cadillac races through the streets of Ekaterinburg. Police pursued him. They kicked Idiot in the suburbs and shot the car. But 16 bullets!!! no stopped the car.
Long live the American (or Mexican?) Quality!

 

For perspective on vehicles assembled in Mexico, Dodge and Cadillac also are involved in the same locale as the HHR's assembly.

The 2nd Generation Cadillac SRX is assembled at their Ramos Arizpe assembly plant.

The 5.7 liter Hemi is made at Chrysler's Ramos Arizpe Engine plant, and the truck is assembled in Saltillo Truck Assembly plant.

 

I think we are safe until the japanese start letting them build their cars too..
