I would say not… Because the sound you’re thinking of is inherent to some kind of V design with a long stroke and not a inline like ours… Although it will sound better

I wish.

Mitzkitty installed just a Magnaflow muffler and it sounded pretty good.

DOn't try to get a V8 sound from a 4 banger. Not gonna happen.

Those soup can exhausts remind me of those who put straight pipes on a Honda 750. Just a louder wimpy sound. A four banger will never sound "mean"

Personally I would look for ways to quiet cars with 4 bangers rather than make them more noticable. Quiet strength trumps loud weakness.

It's not the Magnaflow catback, but I used Magnaflow mufflers. Deep sound is definitely possible.

Sorry about wind in the video, I'm working on another.

Big Kahuna went with just the magnaflow muffler. It does sound a little more aggressive w/o the ricey sound.

But yeah, never gonna get a nice growl with these.

Check out this thread about the magnaflow exhaust:

We carry it if you are interested and have questions.

Sounds pretty good actually. Does it drone inside the cabin?

Love the wheels on your panel,

Any sound less then an American V8 sounds like "ricer flatulence" to me though, like those cars in the Xbox Games. I guess owning real muscle cars spoiled me in my 20's. I had a 68 327 SS Chevelle in 72 and a 72 340 Barracuda in 79 back in the day. now those sounded mean.

At cruising speed, 50-60, it doesn't drone. You can hear it, but it's not loud at all. It does get pretty loud when accelerating though. The mufflers are straight through. All, or at least most, Magnaflow mufflers are straight through with stainless steel mesh followed by sound deadening material around the center pipe. They just come in different shapes and lengths. They should sound similar because of that. I'm not sure how much difference there is between the stock resonator and the Magnaflow resonator, however. So there could be a difference requarding that.

Thanks. I agree with you about V8's. Nothing sounds better, period. These last few years though, I have grown to like the sound of four cylinders. (The mpg's help to)
