The lights come on when the wipers are on, but it doesn't seem to effect the dashboard lights, so it's hard to tell.

I have a question that somewhat pertains to this thread. Has anyone else had this happen? I turn on the wipers to intermitent and they come on, turn them up to the low setting and they SOMETIMES come on. Turn them to high and they come on. If I turn them from high back to low, then they usually come right on............also, when I hit the highbeams, there is a long pause. The first time it happened, I about wet myself! It doesn't usually have a long delay, just occasionally. Anyone experienced either of these? I already have to take it in for the clunk noise in the steering system and was just wondering if I should mention these too or maybe they're just normal........

When your turning to intermittent what speed are you going because our cars have speed sensitive wipers...

Hi Wheelsee:)
The intermittent work fine, they have the delay at different speeds. The problem is when I change them from intermittent to low. Sometimes the low doesn't come on....at any speed. When I change them to high or back down to intermittent and then to low, the low will come on. It doesn't always do this, just occasionally. I have checked to make sure the fuses are seated properly and they all are..........wierd! I was just wondering if this was an issue with the HHR in general. Still love my HHR, just need to make friends with the Gremlins:)!!!
