Hello everyone i have a 2008 ls panel that needs an engine . Its a vin code D 2.2l . Does anyone here have access to holander info to help me find what other cars share same motors and what is required to swap ?
I have heard that cobalts pontiac g5 and malibu share motors but cant get the info to confirm . Thanks in advance for those who read and can help.

 

Your local junkyard is the best source. Basically you want a L61 non-VVT engine.

nobody wants to share info. i read somewhere that some exhaust manifolds are different some fuel rails are different so hoping someone has hollander info to give me what i need

 

The link I provided lists all of the vehicles that had that engine installed. The question some will ask is "drilled or not" you want not drilled. That doesn't make a lot of difference just use your old exhaust manifold. Some of the other applications had a camshaft driven power steering pump.

How insane would it be to try to upgrade to a 2.4L in a case like this? By now it might be due for a new exhaust system anyway.
