No but seriously my HHR is a 2007 LS that to me would be considered grey. The few places I have looked up so far all call my color a silver name. Then in 08 they call it dark grey mettalic according to one of the sites. So I am wondering what is the GM name for my cars color?
The actual color is called Silverstone Metallic but due to bmw having the name already I believe they changed it to Tarnished Silver.Bmw still uses the paint on the M4 but it's referred to as Silverstone 2 and has a bluish tint now.It took me a few months to figure it out because my impala is in need of a respray due to rear bumper being caved in thanks to the previous owner.

we tend to end up with silver cars too, have have a couple impalas that are silver, and the HHR. Had a VW golf before the HHR that was silver also,
The marketing department names the colors on their whim. Sometime the exact same color get s a different name for a different model, or for a different year. Sometime the same name is a different color on a different model or a different year. The important thing is the number on the RPO list, which of course does not necessarily mean the the exact same thing on every year or model…
Not too hard to find a sales brochure for the HHR year.
