Seems to me that this wierd little car/truck/suv has become a lifestyle (reason to get out and meet new people) ! I would never have met all the kind people in the midwest/central etc.. without having purchased the HHR! I am by no means saying that they are better than the people out east or west or south but that i am sure they are all as friendly and would like to meet as many of them as well!! We are still workin on a set location and we simply want to share the fun we all have expierianced with our little local events! If any are upset on where we decide it to be, i apologize (but like my granny always said you can please some people sometimes but you cant please all the people all the time)!! I hope to meet and talk to as many of you all as possible!! Calgary let me dig in my couch and see if i can find a lil spare change to help you out with gas expences!!!

1 last thing maybe we could all get together on this and talk to GM about helpin in any way to see about getting JX3 to the event If is medically possible to be moved that far ?(say have gm pay for a medical helicopter to fly jay there?) Like i said it is becoming a lifestyle and he is one of our big ol family!

I think we should give Mike from SoCalHHR's the chance to talk with GM and other distributors and manufacturers and get their input. After all, in my mind he is probably the best spokesperson we have in the HHR community. He's a reputable, dependable and knowledgeable vendor who has the best interest of the entire HHR community in mind. After all...if we really want to make this a really great 1st national run...it's going to take some substantial sponsorship and alot of help from the HHR community. If we are able to secure GM/Chevrolet support, that would open the door to securing other big name sponsors as well.

Let's keep our minds open and welcome any and all suggestions. This is not about who does what the best or how big regional get togethers are. It's about thinking about what is best for the entire HHR community, including the thousands upon thousands of owners who don't even belong to any online forums. If we all work together towards a common goal this could be a very big deal and something that draws national news attention. As the old saying goes...United We Stand...Divided We Fall.

Well at least Scaleguy got people talking about a national run. I am encouraged by the results, although feel for Scaleguy. He did put forth some serious time talking with many other mid-central chamber of commerces to try to set something up. None of those have been mentioned because the Dells had the best thing going for it.

Those of you who took the time to look at what the Dells has to offer, it is a great vacation spot and I would highly recommend it. It has many things for kids to do. Like I said in an earlier post, we have been there three times and still haven't done all we have wanted to do there.

It will be interesting to see what SoCal comes up with after the Sema show. When is the Sema show anyway?

Thanks

Don

Well I'll tell Ya Pat.
You did a fine job gathering all that Information for everyone about the Dells. I think we should still do it as a matter of fact. I will be at the Dells even if I have to be there by my self. I will be going to stay at the Black Hawk Motel it is Located at 720 Race Street, Wisconsin Dells, 53965 if your in the area in Aug 2007 let me know. We will have to get together. This Motel is just a few minutes away from the Water Park Convention Center. My kids are all adults now and I am going for the Go Carts and Fudge and Itialian Food. I am very sorry that people just can't leave well enough alone. This Mid-Central Region City Boy is going anyway.
I hope I will not be the only One and If I am Oh well you should know me well enough to know that I will have FUN even if its just the Z's.

Pat Please understand I am not trying to start nothing I just want to have Fun like I said before so My God I am going to try very hard to keep my word.
If there is any one else who would like to go then I'll see you at the Dells.
Don't worrie if anyone does goes and you don't know me you will see that I will be the one cruising up & Down both sides of the Strip in my ride

You will not be alone Z-man, this has sparked some interest in our house. My wife & kids are looking forward to the DELLS. August is a good time for us, if a bunch of us can agree on a week, I would love to meet up with you guys.

I like the Dells idea too. Besides how much GM support can we expect anyways. We're talking about a small forum's meet not the f'n Hot Rod Power Tour.

well One of the main reasons we had discussed the dells(even though it isnt in the mid central region) was way back before alot of the regions had a run a guy called Tomshhr suggested we all get together (at house on the rock i think) which a few of us were gonna do then Tom hit his 2nd or 3rd deer and had to cancel!! so wether it be National or 5 off us gettin together we in the mid central are still gonna do some type of dells run. Z you know Sabrina and I wouldnt pass on a chance to spend some time with you and the Z ladies!!

SoCal (Mike) more power to ya if you can get GM to back your idea!! But i honestly just dont see it? You are in a way GM`s competition for the accessory market (am i wrong)? GM is in it for the money plain and simple,(just as CH mentioned)! I would attened a national any where if someone can get it in motion! We`ll see what we can do in our area while we wait to see how SoCal makes out at Sema!!

Thats Guys sound like I will not be cruising down the 2 strips by myself. Cool.
I 'll wait and see who all want to come and to hear when you all pick what week. I was looking at the week of Aug 10, 11 & 12 or the following week the 17, 18 and 19 but the Z's will go when ever. I'll be looking for inputs on dates. The Z's will be going no matter what So if you all change your Ideas its Okay I understand. I would like to say one thing, I hope SoCal Mike gets the National Run off the Ground and it turns out to be a Big Hit. I really do support what he is trying to do. its just that the Z's need to go to the Dells and if Mike gets the National then we just might make that also. Good Luck SoCal Mike
