It arrived on the 16th of August to 3 Way and I had them place a hold on it the same day. We bought it on the 18th.

My parents said they saw another Spring Edition in town last weekend. It must of been your that they saw.

What cruise are you speaking of?
We saw your HHR on August 18...a saleman tried to get us to test drive it when we went back to work in the afternoon. I guess he didn't know it was already sold. Anyway, we got ours just 2 days ago. Here is the link for the coast cruise. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/south-pacific-36/coast-run-3022/

New Muffler Installed!!!

Yep, I finally broke down and got another muffler installed to replace the stock piece. I don't buy an IMCO muffler though, its a Dynomax Super-Turbo. It sounds nice at idle and cruising, but its a bit loud on accel for me.

The muffler guy says the tone will mellow alittle with time and mileage. I think I read the same thing on this site. Is this true?

I guess if it stays too loud for my taste, I can always have another round muffler (like a Dynomax UltraFlo race magnum) installed in place of the factory resonator.

Anyway, I had the muffler shop reuse the stock 2.4 tip, which I love the look of and the car still looks stock too.

Next performance mod will be a CGS Intake. Although I might buy a full-face bra first with all the freeway driving I do (500+ miles a week). Then I wanna buy a Hidden-Hitch to tow my little tent-trailer to the coast and back.

I love the Spring Edition. After I bought my woody, I went back by the dealer a few weeks later and they had that one in the "show" position. I felt like buying it too, just to keep my Mitzi company...(yes, I named her).

May I ask -- regarding the hidden hitch, where can I see one online? And also, I thought the towing capacity for us was only 400 lbs. Oh, I think your Spring edition is more powerful than my LT2, is that right? I would KILL for one of those teardrop trailers!!!

Weight of the Trailer

How heavy can a trailer safely be?

It should never weigh more than 1,000 lbs (450 kg).
But even that can be too heavy.

It depends on how you plan to use your rig. For example,
speed, altitude, road grades, outside temperature and
how much your vehicle is used to pull a trailer are all
important. It can also depend on any special equipment
that you have on your vehicle, and the amount of tongue
weight the vehicle can carry. See “Weight of the Trailer
Tongue” later in this section for more information.

Maximum trailer weight is calculated assuming only the
driver is in the tow vehicle and it has all the required
trailering equipment. The weight of additional optional
equipment, passengers and cargo in the tow vehicle
must be subtracted from the maximum trailer weight.
This is from the manual. Hope this helps.

P.S. Here's a link for an online pdf of the manual. LINK

Oops, I told you guys about the wrong muffler. I guess I didn't know what I bought until I looked at the box a few days ago. Anyway, the muffler is a Flowtech 'Raptor' muffler.

Just thought I should correct myself.

Oh, the muffler has mellowed out alot. Now I really like the tone at all speeds.

Lastly, here's a newer pic of my HHR:
