We're from the Sandhill region of NC...Pope AFB/Ft. Bragg. I (Patrick) have been in the Air Force at Pope for 13-yrs and looking forward to seeing that 20-yr mark every day. It'll be here soon enough.

I'm glad that I stopped by the dealership and got Niki to test drive one. At first I wasn't very fond of them because I had rented a PT when I was in Hawaii and wasn't impressed at all with it. It was too small. After seeing a HHR in the dealership tricked out it caught my attention so I started snoping around it and found that it was actually bigger than it looks and comfortable.

So, I talked Niki into looking at one without the intention to buy one. I just wanted to get her opinion if she liked it or not. My mistake was letting her drive it. Once I do that then it's pretty much going to be ours. Funny how that works.

We enjoy it and I told her yesterday that I was going to trade in my S10 DD for one. LOL! Then we'd not on have a pair of 'Birds, but HHRs as well. We're really enjoying the gas mileage over our 2005 Bonneville and finding that the HHR makes a nice family hauler that looks good.

As requested pics...

These are the only pics we have of it right now. They were taken the morning after we bought it.

The weekend warriors...

Ok, I know the area, I was at FT Bragg almost 2yrs. 1971-73. 426sig bn.. The HHR looks nice with the stripe. My 08 must of been made before they added the stripe and when I ask the dealer, they want 75 or 90 bucks for it so I said forget it. I like both of your weekend warriors.

Looking good. I have an Imperial Blue also.
The stripes are a new option, a couple choices I think.
Those wheels are new to me though, not the usual flat chromed 17" are they?

I believe ours are 16-inch wheels. Wifey is out with it right now on a parts run for my S10 so I'll have to check when I get home. As for the pinstriping, I'm not a big fan of it. I'd like to take it off because I found something else that I think would look pretty good on there that I found in a Summit mag.
