$30.00 for all 4 and the spare, we had 3 cars done at one time, so they came to us and made the change in our driveway!

Not sure...but, I think I read a while back that some Costco stores were offering it also.

Bell Tire, here in Michigan was advertising $20 for nitro. That's what my dad paid for it on his Envoy.

I think NTB (National Tire and Battery) does it. That's where my mom got it done in El Paso.

Last I heard Costco was going to offer it to customers purchasing new tires... not yet offering to folks looking to replace air in current tires.. saw it on the local news awhile back....

I did my tires several months ago. Cost $5 each, and refills are free for ever. Last week I checked the pressure and they were all identical at 32 PSI. I decided to bump it up to 35 as recommended, and they did it without any charge. Seems like a good idea, plus I like the funky green valve caps they use.

Update 8-26-06

As of last Friday, as I forgot to post, the HHR tire PSI was 30psi on 3 tires and 1 had 29.5 after one month on Nitrogen. The truck had 36 psi on 3 and 33.5 on one, which i run at 35, but if I remember the guy put 36 in each that day.
So: It does hold psi better and longer. Not to mention, everyone thinks the ride is smoother, i guess having all four tires properly inflated does help!

Why, you ask? Helium has a much lower density than oxygen or nitrogen, which is why it is used in balloons. By filling my tires with helium, my HHR weighs 143 lbs. less. We all know that less weight means faster accelleration. That's why my HHR is so-o-o-o fast!!

Disclaimer: The above is almost as much BS as some tire store claims.
LMAO...!!!

you had me goin for a second there... I'm sitting here thinking to myself, "This guy has been inhaling the helium..!!"

then I saw the disclaimer... too funny..!!

LOL...
