No fire
My question is:
Why did he assume it was the coils without testing ?
And there weren't any codes to begin with ?
And now with a new crank sensor it has to be calibrated.
Can or will the engine still start with an UN- calibrated sensor ?
I know on the Cat engines that I replaced those sensors it would, then while the engine was running calibrate it.
I'm thinking it might be the same logic here.
Will start and might not throw a CEL. I just don't know why you would up and replace it; how often do passive coils of wire sealed in epoxy fail?
If we are going to get one sentence answers there isn't much use.

Pull the front cover and valve cover and double check the timing chain alignment to the timing marks.
Inspect the camshafts and valves , look for anything bent .
Is the intake cam timed correctly to the exhaust cam ?
it the tensioner deployed?

What does that mean?
Please just start over using lots of words. So far all we know is the car doesn't start and for some unknown reason you replaced the crank sensor.
Things like :
repair history, what parts have been replaced and why
what testing has been done
when did it start happening
Who did work, do they have any experience working on cars built this century?
Exactly what is happening
Please answer questions with full sentences and real information
We are trying to help, but we can't unless you provide information. We are not just trying to be a pain. If you keep going this way even the most patient of us will lose interest.
