I would demand it..... I'm sure saying you'll go to another dealership might get you the additional $500 off.

We too did not get the military discount They could not tell us why it does not fall under one of the cars that gets it.

Considering it's month end and you're only $500 away from getting what you want, the dealership would be nuts not to give in and work something out.

I certainly will...1 dealer has said yes and another said nope.... Oh well..going tomorrow to look at the Dark Silver and also a Black one....the black one has the stuff I need without the fancy radio(extra 300 bucks) May be leaning but we will see. Bad thing is they are about 100 miles apart!

I'll post the specs on the black on on the other thread

I'm sure they may try to work something out but can't wait to hear them say how they are giving the car away already... I'm sure my trade will be sticky also..KBB says 9600 I'm gonna ask for 11...I know for a fact they can sell it for 13K

Goose, I don't mean to pry, but the curiosity is getting the best of this cat

What branch of the Forces are you in?

Maybe I should start a new poll to find how many of us have served!

Poll has been done already. Probably can find it with the search function. You and others can also add yourselves to it.

The Matrix and Vibe are soft at auction, especially going into spring and summer. If Kelly's telling you $9600 Excellent, think more like $7600 Fair is what you're going to get. Keep in mind, even if they keep the car, most used dealers 'cept Carmax run a 23% margin on their cars, Carmax is around 6% because of volume. KBB's quotes are also about 60 days off and they only quote the highest prices that model has received at auction in your region, not locale.

That is 9600 good...we'll see what they have to say...I'm not going to be upside down on a trade...I think my payoff is around 10.3k...have to get at least that to make the deal. I'll be visiting them today with a folder in hand with 6 or 7 different HHR's in it so if one dealer really lowballs the car and won't budge, I'll move on. If they all can't help with the trade in then it wasn't meant to be. I understand they have to make money on the deal also..I'm a realist.

It isn't like I have to do this..If I can't get what I need in a trade no deal..ball is in their court..I saw a dealer up here (Dobles) asking 18995 for a Matrix same color as mine and the only extra option it had on it was a sunroof....granted it had 45,000 less miles on it but thhey are asking 2500 more than what I paid new for the Matrix! If they ever do sell it I'm sure it will be for 3-4K less than they are asking

Ok off to explore and see if there will be a new Chevy soon or a Matrix that I'm just as happy with.
