A non-complainy thread about dealer service.....
Took the panel to my dealer Wednesday to get a slow leak and two bent rims fixed. I have road hazard protection on the stock wheels and tires. They took my car in just before closing, warned me that the insurance company that covers the road hazard plan may not cover bent rims if they still hold air. I had my copy of the contract that states a wheel that cannot be balanced is covered, they made a photocopy and stapled it to the work order. I also had them do an oil change while it was in.
I got a call yesterday that the wheels would be covered, and I could pick up my car Friday. Charges would apply for the valve stem TPMS since that is not covered.
Friday morning the dealer calls to tell me that the car was done, but during a test drive they noticed a vibration in the brakes and the rotors would need to be turned, so the car wouldn't be ready until the afternoon.
I go there after work, the car is ready, cleaned, washed and waiting. Total charge? $116.40 of what totaled to be a $784.00 repair bill.
My car now drives like it did when new, and there were no remarks about the few mods I did.
Not all dealers are jerks, Buff Whelan in Sterling Heights Michigan is one of the best and worth the drive!

Glad to hear you got out of it without too much injury to the wallet. Good customer service dealerships seem to be harder and harder to find.
Always nice to hear something good about a dealer, there are more good ones than bad, at least I hope. For those in the Charlotte NC area I can't recommend Larry King Chevrolet and Ben Mynatt Chevrolet highly enough, always great folks to deal with. Honorable mentions also go out to Team Chevrolet and Parks Chevrolet.
