I was so upset, I had to go get a Gelati at Rita's. I saw that in the parking lot, and was hoping they'd come out. They didn't, but I left them a note under their windshield wiper saying "Nice HHR! Please visit www.chevyhhr.net."
Sorry to hear about both of these accidents and glad that no one was injured seriously. Sounds like you were alot calmer than I would have been under the circumstances. I would have been pretty steamed, to say the least.

You know, now thinking about it, hasn't a lot of the accidents been HHR's getting hit in the back ????

That really sucks, but the important thing is nobody got hurt (physically). I know what you mean when you say "wish they would total it", it doesn't matter how good they fix her up, you will always know and look for differences from before and after.
We've been in contact with their insurance and my attorney and I believe we are going to take it to their 'central repair shop' where we'll drop her off and they will give us a call with the estimate and such, and then begin the repairs. Our guess is $4,000. We'll see how that matches up with theirs.

Rear end collisions suck because there is nothing you can do in most situations.
