Hmm..........
"The 10 ugliest cars we've seen..."
2007 Chevy HHR

HHR apparently stands for "Heritage High Roof." It could equally stand for "Hyper Hideous Retromobile." Its bulging hood and protruding wheel arches make the popular panel van look like an outtake from the auto world's equivalent of Extreme Makeover."

Gotta love these articles for the sake of taking up space. Anyway, I started a thread about it, so let's waste some more space!

They were probably pissed at everyone from this site bashing their review of the HHR and adding their 2 cents. Piss internet car reviewers off and feel the wrath.

There's a reason why that they write on the internet instead of for car enthusaist magazines read by car enthusaists. Some of those vehicles are really nice and only one that I would consider somewhat ugly.

I don't know....some of them are truly UGLY!
The Subaru and Nissan are just wrong. Might be greay cars, but still ugly IMO.

It's not like cnet is someone who people should depend on when making purchases. I'm sure the cars on their best looking list may be ugly in our opinion. I don't put much stock in what other people think...I didn't buy the HHR because it was a popular car...I bought it because it appealed to me. Hell...if I wanted to drive something that everyone else on the planet drives, I would have bought the PT Cruiser I test drove. I thought that car stunk...it was uncomfortable to drive and the one I drove had a funny smell and the salesman said that was the coating on the clutch from the factory burning off. Thanks buddy...but I don't think so. That totally turned me off to the cruiser and once I saw the HHR, the thought of buying a cruiser vaporized.

Seems that if it isn't cookie cutter styling then they slam it. Also, they're not consistent. They slam the HHR and Element, but leave out the PT Cruiser, Scion xA and xB? Oh wait... probably some of the reviewers drive xB's...

I think that's a pretty good group to be lumped in with. If I cared about driving a popular "pretty" car, I'd still be driving a Honda Civic. Except that the turbo boost involved turning off the a/c...
