Okay...call me dense but.....
I have tried to figure out how to move my rear view mirror more into the higher location, up closer to the headliner....but I jst haven't had one bit of luck with the darn thing....and I am scared of breaking it off the windshield.....so can someone tell me just how to move this blasted thing without creating any damage! It is too low and makes my sunblocker silver thing not fit right in the windshield.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated....I sure don't want to break the thing!
Thanx...Anita

I watched as Reed (oneton) adjust my mirror..........
angle mirror up, the push it towards the headliner, re-adjust mirror for rearview usage.........
Mine now sits all the way at the top of the windshield, all in less than 5 seconds.

Yeah, it's a must to aleviate the blind spot in the middle of the windshield. Just bend it up without worrying about the aim. The mirror should be pointing almost straigt up at the ceiling when that hinge is fullty up. Then bend the mirror itself back down to aim using two hands. Two hands-so you don't pull the mount hinge back down.
And try not to hit the red onstar button like I always do.

Yeah A76, I knew, because my '93 Ranger had the mirror in the middle problem, and that's when I learned about the 2 hinges.
Hey BTW, ever name that new SS yet? How about "Red Shift." Since you have a MTX. If you know what red shift means, you'll know that you're moving away from everybody at near light speed.
(I have an ATX, so it doesn't fit).

Actually Jeff I have the ATX as well. Had to have something the gf could drive since she and I take turns with our cars driving to work.
The SS's nickname is Suzy Q. Everytime I tell someone that I think of the scene in Apocolypse Now where they bring in the Bunnies.

moved my mirror up as soon as i got to the car. Amazing! I never would have though about moving it like that.
It was more effective for me to point the mirror straight down, then grip it tightly and push it up so that the bar would rotate up, and then still pushing on it to tilt the mirror back up to proper viewing spot. No it's all the way to the headliner, it's great.
