I'm sure our HHR's are bashed on other boards too.

With all that said... perhaps the PT bashing will calm down a bit.... there are PT members among us. Check out the Gallery sometime!

If memory serves me right, we may have a member or 2 who own both the PT Cruiser and the HHR...and to date have not expressed any displeasure with us fun at the PT.

Bottom line is, we're just having some fun. No harm intended.

well i also lookied at one but once i saw the hhr i totally was turned off from the pt. The caliber is much better than the pt but the hhr is still better in my opinion. Well even the pt gts will lose now that dodge is coming out w/an srt version of the caliber. 303 hemi powered horsepower

We've had our HHR for a month now and LOVE it. I haven't felt this way since my first car in 1960, which was a '57 BelAir 2 door hardtop.
I'm amazed at the fit and finish on the HHR, its as good as or better than most imports. And it's one sweet ride.
Way to go Chevrolet
Dave, Unfortunatly there are people who think they own something, just because they have been allowed to be a part of something. Insecurity is usually the underlying problem. An old saying goes like this: If you can't say something good about somebody, don't say nothing. Don't let a few insecure comments rob you of the pleasure of other nice people and information that you can get from this forum.

But on the other hand... I hope the speech police don't come in and try to make it so we can't express our own opinions - whether they be popular or not. As far as I can recall, I have never personally said anything about the PT Cruiser, but I do think calling it a PT Loser is hilarious.. As I am sure they think making up cutesie names for the HHR is hilarious. I hate it that we have become such a politically correct society that people's skins are so thin and they get 'offended' by jokes nowadays. I am amazed at the things I hear people saying they are offended by these days...

Anyway.. I hope people will just lighten up and let light hearted ribbing continue. If this forum becomes a police state I predict it won't last very long.

Some of you are taking this "making fun of PT Loser" thing waaaaaay too seriously. Geepers! Lighten up people. For as long as cars have been around and as long as there have been Chevy, Dodge, and Ford, it's always been competition. It's always been Chevy vs Ford, or Chevy vs Dodge, or Dodge vs Ford and so on. What do you think NASCAR is made of? It's competition. There's a coworker here that owns a PT Loser and we trade verbal jabs all the time about each others cars, but it's all out of fun. We both have a nice laugh afterwards. Maybe it's being a bit ****y. Who knows, but it's all about being proud of what you drive. This is an HHR forum. This where HHR Owners can be proud of what they drive and can snicker at the competition if they want to. It's just pure fun. What's next? Going to hand out an olive branch who used to or still currently by some amazement still own Yugos?

I couldn't agree more! Very well put! That being said I personally have never liked the PT Cruiser so I have made fun of them and said that they suck ever since they came out, well before I owned an HHR. I have never held it against a PT owner that they have bad taste in cars though. Like previously mentioned I believe most of it is in good fun just like the classic Mustang / Camaro feud. Now we get to play the role of the Camaro by battling the older more established Mustang. Did I just compare the PT to a Mustang in a round about kind of way?

I think you almost did, but we'll pretend that didn't happen.
