Most brand batteries that are Externally vented for the HHR only cost about $150.

Somebody is trying to lighten yer wallet too much.

Yep. I'd be looking in different locations. GM still makes an AC Delco replacement, cost is $130.

Interstate has one, $135.

All the auto parts chains have them, bout same price range, although Advance auto is higher.

My wife's 2006 has low mileage, 103,000, and I had to replace the battery the other day. I am very satisfied with a factory battery that lasts more than 5 years. I remember when you were lucky if you got three winters out of the factory ones.

Firestone quoted me $50 installation, because it was not in the engine bay. The boy at Advance said that corporate says they can't install them, but he does anyway.

Hey Sleeper, When my battery in the '08 went bad ,after I replaced it, the tire pressure on the DIC went - - - - and the key fobs didn't work. Donbrew said because it is an '08 ,I had the get it reprogrammed at the dealer. I did. they did the tire sensors and front door locks with their hand held device, but had to use a lap top to program the back side door poppers. No charge, so I was a happy boy! john

2manyvans- Thanks for the info, Sounds like it was a lot of hassle. I will be getting a new battery before this winter.

That TSB applies to 2008 models only. When TPMS became mandatory they forgot to program persistent memory.
