You can mount the batttery upside down or on it side as it's a true sealed cell battery. It should not be an issue. It is not of the same construction as the normal sealed batteries.

Thanks!
So many companies DON"T make HHR batteries, but Optimas are special it seems since they are more sealed and of a differing design. Good to hear. Still Optima themselves don't officially recommend their batteries for our vehicles.

I'll be ordering one today. Hopefully I don't have to mod the holding brackets. I'm just getting crotchety and don't want to work long in the cold anymore. Gotta clean my garage and get the car in there.

I haven't looked too closely at the vent, can someone tell me more about their experience with the Optima and replacing? My car is only a year old and I've had good luck with Delco but I'd like a few more CCAs in the future!

I have yet to put one in my HHR. But I have put them in two Pontiac's and one GMC and they were simple bolt in's. No extra work needed.

Note they also did not have a listing for my GP when I put it in. These are generally univeral batteries.

Interesting read on the Odyssey, never heard of those before. Is the optima an AGM battery as well?
Does anyone know what that stock battery has for CCA and is it the same for all models?

We sell those too and they are about a similar price range.

Not as popular since they do not market as much as Optima.

I also see few returns on theses also.

I just wish the Delco's were as good as they used to be. I used to have such good service out of them. But anymore they just don't hold up like they used to.
