Out for a Drive

Took a drive late yesterday, just a little 50 mile cruise each way. I just washed the HHR and cleaned the inside. Then I saw this Solstice and I don't know if this is funny or sad or should I just keep my thoughts to myself. He and it was a he, had the big wheels on the front and the little wheels on the back. I never thought about what would happen it you wanted to rotate the tires on a Solstice but I guess you either don't rotate or you end up with what I saw. Anyway it just looked funny/strange to me and I thought I would share. And by the way it was a nice drive...no bugs so she still looks clean and spotless this morning.

Reminds me of the early days of front wheel drive cars, occasionally you'd see some poor misguided soul who'd mounted their snow tires on the rear(undriven)wheels.

I wonder if the guy with the Solstice is confused by its unusual handling characteristics?

Stock solstice wheels/tires are the same size all around, so he had to have spent good money to look silly.

I suppose I could have been mistaken, I'm old. But I would swear that the front wheels were bigger, I'm guessing about 1-2" bigger, than the rears, probably 1". I know you are correct that the stock wheels are the same all around but these certainly looked bigger and I had my glasses on. I was right beside him at one traffic sigmal before the road cut back down to two lane so I got a pretty good look. Perhaps I should quit fooling around with those shrooms. Just kidding about the magic mushrooms. Anyway, this little conversation has helped fill an otherwise boring day.
