What is the name of the rocker panel on the rear passenger doors called? Tried to find a tjread on how to remove them and all Im coming up with is the lower rocker panels. As always thanks for the help.

what are you looking for ? The door fender and rear fender are all one piece with the door and car, except the front fender which is seperate.

Or maybe im not understanding what you're looking for..

They are held on with double-faced tape, so use dental floss to remove, and maybe with a bit of assistance from a hair dryer.

If you remove them, and do not have the step-able rocker panels as in the photo above, be aware that the lower front of the doors paint will take a beating from rock chips.

 

Thanks alot guys. Iam going to sand, prime , and re spray them. They are chipped excatly as you stated whopper, so they deserve alittle tlc. Was thinking of just mask8ng the area off, but I 5hink I will just remove them instead.

I think it's called a stone or rock guard.

 

I've been thinking of using some of the plastidip in a spray can for those things.

There's nothing step-able about those on a SS.

 

LOL - forgot that the SS's only have those "for show, not for go" boards.

 

The boards on my LS's and LT are are only for show too whopper, they fall under Rule #3 of riding in my HHR's.
