Outside Temp Gauge
You know, I'll still argue the point of your outside temperature gauge being "off". How do you really know, unless you can compare it to something else that is measuring the temperature IN THE EXACT SAME LOCATION AND BY THE EXACT SAME CIRCUMSTANCE. Listening to a radio, driving by a bank display or whatever, and they say 72* and your gauge indicates 75* is NOT a good comparison.
Yeah, I agree there can be error....a VALID 60* outside and the car registers 82*, for example. But geez, 3-5 degrees ????
As I have mentioned before, weather is one of my hobbies. I have a professional weather station and provide information to a local TV station (when requested), for MY AREA LOCATION. Sometimes it is as much as 15* difference from what they are reporting 20 miles away.......7-8 degrees difference, from another of their "official" locations, 6 miles away. And, you would not believe the difference in wind speed and rain fall.
And, on occassion, I can provide variances of 2-3 outside degrees, from one side of the house to the other. .......just depending on the direction and velocity of the wind.

In the first few weeks/couple months of owning my HHR, the temp guage would get stuck repeatedly, usually around 91 degrees. It could be well over 100, but it would say 91. I would park in indoors overnight, and take it out the next day, and it would still say 91 about three out of four times. It's been behaving itself since late September or so, but I wonder what was going on there for a while. Do thermometers go through break in periods or something?!?
