You seem to be assuming the vent valve is good just because it was recently replaced. I wouldn’t do that.

Hey Donbrew!

Hey Donbrew, shohay92 on this end. Just wanted to reach to you and thank you for responding to my recent thread I started about my 2006 HR LT. My car sprung P0446 evap code this week. I was unable to send a private message. The forum said no. Don't know why. But I wanted to tell you I appreciate your suggestions you gave me. I cleared the code and put around 150 miles on the car. So far no code. I did not over click at the pump. I read on the Cobalt forums, someone suggested the fuel tank pressure sensor might be on its way out. I hope not being I will have to drop the tank just to replace that sensor. But the car is behaving like maybe this might be the issue. I will keep you posted. I am going out on a limb on keeping this HHR. I love it! It is great car and you just don't see any 2006 models in the condition as mine. She takes care of me and I am trying to return the favor. This is just a friendly hello and how are you. Thank you for being there for people on the forum. Cheers!

I don't think you have to drop the tank.
I believe that sensor is connected to the charcoal canister.
I may also be wrong as I have much practice witht that/

I wish that sensor is located where you mentioned, but unfortunately it is on top of the fuel tank Ugh.
