A MUCH cheaper alternative and just as good is to buy a can of BBQ paint. I sprayed the drums and then sprayed some paint into the cap and used a foam brush to do the rotors and to fine tune.

paint

if you clean and degrease the calipers , rotors , which is neccesary for any paint to stick , cheap or expensive. you could use cheap paint. if it does come off , you haven't lost much. also i would rather buy a cheap roll of plastic to cover the entire car. some would rather clean off the overspray , but not me. i do not need any extra cleaning work.

I used the duplicolor on mine. You use a brush, so no over spray. It was real easy and it has a real wet look to it. A kit was less than $10 and there is enough to probably do 3 or 4 sets.

I did drums and rotors. 4 coats on each. There is still enough to do 2 or 3 more sets.

i used the G2 kit and just recently had the car clean enough to take photos, they are on my camera, and will load them up soon.

I looked at a lot of reviews of the different ways to do it. The G2 kit costs a bit more, i think it was $35 for the kit. But from all of the reviews it was basically once you do it that way once, you don't need to do it again. It is a 2 part paint that you mix a reactor and hardening agent into the paint. It is a brush in and I did 3 coats. The paint has a nice flow to it and all of the brush strokes were gone and then the paint hardened really nicely over 24 hours.

Reviews of the duplicolor kit was over time it would start to peel and chip. If the G2 kit does this you send them some photos and you get a free kit to fix it. A lot of the people on some lexus' forums and so forth went with the duplicolor first, and had photos of it all flaking off, and then redid it with G2 later.

I only did the calipers, because I did them in yellow and didn't want the drums yellow too. I may do them black one day, but I will be using a G2 kit for that if it happens.
