Pioneer System....

Why would anyone want to upgrade the pioneer system. I have had a few boomers in my dayz, but that stock system sounds AWESOME to me, the bass is crisp. I'm so glad chevy has really going after ford in the audio department..

The speakers are low quality crap. The funny thing about the "Pioneer" system is the Panasonic head unit. They don't even try to hide it, there is a big sticker on top of the head unit. The only component of the system I found that actually says Pioneer is the subwoofer box. The 8" subwoofer does nothing and the whole system is under powered. Is that enough reasons? It's OK for a factory system but nowhere near the best.

Sounds good to me, now the non pioner setup in the HHR sounds like broken glass. It is horrible...

Maypen...it's all a matter of what earch person wants out of their system. Personally, I don't need something that shakes the windows, but others prefer something more powerful that what is provided stock with the car.

My HHR came with the stock 1 disc player and I did buy a 6 disc from another member for the increased power and 6 disc capability. I'm very pleased with what I have for now, but may eventually upgrade the entire system. At this point I don't feel the need to do that, as I don't spend a great deal of time in the car.

However, once my CGS intake comes in and I install that, I'm sure that will probably change.

I have never had a chance to hear the other system. Both of the HHRs I have driven had the premium system.

The Premium Pioneer system in our Equinox and Cobalt is alot better than the HHRs premium. both are mp3/cd players. they just dont have the ipod plug. Both have 10in sub too.

the one in my daughters cobalt is real nice and sounds great.

I hate having to turn up the volume until my eardrums rupture to feel some kind of bass
