To make this thread short and to the point, no. A power passenger seat is not an option on any HHR regardless of model and year.

OK, so why haven't any of you guys who love to add mods to your HHR tried to install one for the passenger side? All you need to add is the hydraulics under the seat and the electical connection? That would surely add value to any HHR!

You would have to swap the passenger seat out for a drivers seat from another HHR. The controls and armrest would be on the wrong side of the seat so it wouldn't be that easy to do.

I went out to the garage and looked at both seats. They look pretty identical except for a different plastic trim around the bottom front and the hydraulics underneath versus the slider mechanism. Maybe that's one product SoCal can develop and sell. Or does he only sell the flashy mods?

The two seats are actually quite different. As the Captain noted, the controls would have to be remounted on the right side of the seat base and this rework would be very costly indeed. The motors are electric on the power seats (not hydraulic, like the non-powered versions), so a new power source and wiring would also be required. Add to this the fact that you would lose the flip-forward capability the stock passenger seat has, and I don't think we would have too many folks lining up to buy such a kit.

Of course you are most welcome to come out with a kit yourself and prove me wrong!

Power passenger seat......the option I can do without. If they made one, and I had one, my wife would want to be with me all the time!
