Look for oblong holes, thats where a T hook would go in.

alot of these newer cars dont have a tow hook or a hole to thread in a winch key(pharos eye)different name for everybody..makes them hard to winch on a flatbed..I wouldnt advise usung your HHR to pull out anything..not very heavy..most likely just spin your tires or smoke your tranny..

There are strong structural members in front, its just getting to them. I have a base plate attached to them, so I can tow the HHR behind our motor home, which we do quite a bit, with no harm to the HHR. But then again that is dragging it by a base plate that is engineered to do so, and is attached to frame members that Chevrolet says to attach it to.
