Not during the test ride, BUT...DO NOT PAY retail list price. Unless the dealer gives you something that equals at least $400-500.

Actually you should be able to get 5% off the MSRP, then add the destination charge, taxes, license, and documentation fees (if you pay MSRP, they should do this free). Also in regard to delivery, you should get a full tank of gas....with no strings attached. And the salesperson will "push" a comment card that is sent to GM Corporate. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO COMPLETE THIS YOURSELF, AFTER THE DELIVERY.

The Firestone tire comment, I'm not sure about. I've been checking in my area to upgrade my tires (actually now considering Goodyear Eagle Response Edge). One Firestone dealer here, has them on the shelf. Another, who does a large business in aftermarket specialties, "says" they are at the warehouse....4 hours away. Might be different in other areas of the country.

I would also advise selecting a dealer that has an impeccable service/repair history. Based on comments on all the HHR forums, the majority of dealers do very poor work. If you do have a problem, it may become aggrevating to return several times for the same repair problem.

Good Luck....let us know how we can help more AND if you buy, how you did.

Thanks for the tips. After reading this Board for about 5 months, I did buy today - a Sport Red/Gray LS from Pohanka Chevy in Northern Va. Its going to be a basic second car so not any options other than auto trans. But it is a beauty!

solman, i have an 07. The DRL's are the headlights only differnce being the amber area only lights up when you turn the headlights on or you use autolights and it gets dark enough to turn them on.

Cool, they changed them. Now the '06 is a little more distinguished going down the road. Wonder what they will keep for '08?

Personally, I like the parking light look over the headlight look. Cause I hate DRL period.
