remote clicker

anybody know of a economical way to replace the clicker? i just need the rubber part. GM only sells the whole thing for $100 plus programming. do these generics from the `zone work? i`ve been patching mine with little pieces of aluminum foil but the rubber is coming apart.

I bought a complete new remote on eBay for about $11.00 w/free shipping. I bought it just for the case because the little loop for the key ring has broken off past remotes and I wanted to have an extra on hand. I checked today they are still available at that price or less depending if you need remote start button or not.

Ebay. You can get new silicone pads for around $5. Entire cases w/pad around $10. New remote (needs dealer programing) for around $15.

Go to eBay, then 'shop by catagory', then eBay Motors, then Parts and accessories, then Electric vehicle parts, then select a vehicle(enter 200? chevrolet hhr) then click Update Results and you should be where you need to be to find your part

type "GM keyfob" into the ebay search box. It's rocket science, not brain surgery.
