Remote Start Fails After 10 Seconds
So I replaced fuse 62 Instrument Panel, Ignition Fuse first, then I tried the remote start and it worked and stayed on, so I put my key in the ignition saw the gauges turn on then shut the car off. Opened the drivers door then closed it locked all doors (with FOB) and tried the remote start again. This time the car started then again after about 10 seconds then it shut off. So I next went and replaced the 34 Starting System Relay, then I tried the remote start and it worked and stayed on, so I put my key in the ignition saw the gauges turn on then shut the car off. Opened the drivers door then closed it locked all doors and tried the remote star again. This time the car started then again after about 10 seconds it shut off. I now find after I used remote start and it shuts off if I put the key in the ignition and turn the key to on (not starting the car) take it out and then try the remote start it works and stays on. So just to be safe I disconnected the negative battery connected let it set for 10 minutes, connected it back and then took it for a drive. Car runs great only 108k, came home shut the car off opened the drivers door, closed the door locked all the doors and tried remote start, it started and again after 10 seconds shut off however again I find after I used remote start and it shuts off if I put the key in the ignition and turn the key to on (not starting the car) take it out and then try the remote start it works and stays on. The remote start now a bit better but still not consistent. I bought this car
about 6 months ago it came with 2 keys and no FOBS which I bought and programmed them with the Dorman program module. All the doors lock fine (with FOB) and the DIC alerts when the door and/or liftgate is ajar. There is no aftermarket stuff anywhere in and/or on the car 100 percent stock. I truly appreciate all the help and guidance you guys have given me and if you have any other things for me to check and/or try out please let me know, thanks Mark

Engine compression and oil pressure are 2 different things. I was asking how you checked the oil pressure. I’ll take your answer as you have not, even though you said you did and it was “fine”.

But am I the only one to suspect the security system could be involved? Not that hard to try a security system reset. Instructions in owners manual.
The fact that replacing fuses and relays has an effect leads me to TIGHTEN THE 4 BOLTS IN THE FUSE BOX, gorilla tight.
Never did say if this us new behavior. What brand are the fobs you got? Some of the "no name" fobs don't work properly. Can you set the tire positions

Hey Guys, taking the family to Disneyland today, but wanted to reply to your questions, Yes the sticker in the glove box has AP3, Yes I know the difference between Cylinder compression and oil pressure, as I said I checked the cylinder compression with a compression tester (not a scan tool) and the reasons I changed the oil pressure sensor were doing some research I found a GM list on what could cause the remote start not to work oil pressure being low, was on the list so I checked the oil pressure sensor on top of the starter and it was leaking so I cleaned the area and changed it, just an fyi you can change it from the top without removing the starter, if you need to change the crankshaft sensor then you will need to remove the starter. As for the FOBs both are new I bought from Amazon not OEM and both were programmed with the Dorman programmer. I bought these also for my 2010 LT HHR because I only had 1 FOB and the remote feature works fine on my 2010 LT HHR with the non OEM FOB, maybe GM updated the 2010 software to accept non OEM FOBs better, just a thought. Before replacing fuse 62 and relay 34 I made sure the fuse box bolts were all really tight, this made no difference with the remote start symptoms however as I said in my last post replacing fuse 62 and relay 34 the remote start started to work better this was a new symptom. When i come home I will try the suggestion of resetting the security system, I do have the 2007 HHR owners manual and will look for these instructions. I hope I didn't miss any questions you had, if I did please let me know and if you guys have any other ideas here please let me know, thanks Mark
