What is strange is that the RVS is not supposed to work with the gas pedal is depressed.
The fob doesn't have anything to do with shutting the engine off.
Here is a pdf of the entire article from OnDemand:

I should have added that the fob has nothing to do with turning it off UNLESS THE FOB IS GETTING PHANTOM PRESSES. LIKE IN YOUR POCKET.

You could try checking the fuel pressure under the hood. There is no fuel pressure sensor. I borrowed a fuel pressure test kit from Autozone for free.

How many keys (not fobs) do you have? Have you tried them all? Have you had any new keys made?

Just a thought, you try the RVS while you’re in the drivers seat, but do you get the same results when you follow the RVS instructions?
press lock button in the fob twice, then press RVS button to start.
I know that you replaced the hood latch assembly, but is it adjusted properly? The third brake lights affect cruise control. Are all 4 locks working properly?

Update: Well I don't know what to say except this car must be possessed. I went to Walmart to get an ACDelco oil filter that I needed I already have the oil I need. Everything is working fine and the car is running great I park in the parking lot and just for the hell of it I tried the remote start after I shut the car off of course the car starts and shuts off after 10 seconds, nothing unusual there. I go inside Walmart, buy my oil filter get back in the car start it up and drive home. I get Home park in the driveway take the items out of my car and shut the car off, again just for the hell of it I tried the remote start the car starts and runs continuously. I then shut it off with the key got out of the car lock the doors and tried it again again the remote start worked and the car ran without shutting off I tried the same procedure five times and the car continues to start and run without any issue, thought I let you guys know and tonight I'm buying some Lotto tickets....

Hi PulpFriction, I have 2 original keys, I have never made any keys, just programmed 2 FOBs with a Dorman programmer both set work exactly the same. Good idea about the fuel pressure tester at AZ, I'll check it out.
Hi Oldblue, even following the RVS instructions the car would start and then shut off after 10 seconds, All the doors and liftgate open and lock correctly, center brake light and all brake lights work fine along with the cruise. If you read my previous post I don't know what to think now, lets see if the remote start continues to work tomorrow..

I went out last night and the car worked fine the remote start worked every single time never shut off I counted approximately 12 times that I used it just to check it and it still continued to run without shutting off now this morning I get up go outside to move the car turn on remote start the car starts and then shuts off after about 10 seconds and I tried it again just in case recycling the key sitting in the car initiating remote start it did exactly the same thing the car started and shut off after 10 seconds. I have a theory, yesterday was hot the remote start worked, is it possible that since the car was hot there was more oil pressure. I tried it this morning engine cold and it started then shut off after 10 seconds. Just in case I'm going to change the oil today using ACDelco filter and 5W30 oil, drive it and see if this has any change. Today is about 95° in my area so let's see if it starts after I'm done I'm going to leave it outside and go from there I'm out of ideas on what to try and what to check so if you guys have anything else you can throw at me I'll be happy to try it, thanks Mark
