15 to 65 psi depending on rpm.

Jim we’re not developing adequate oil pressure. I would expect you’d get a check engine light when you started it normally with the key.

After a remote start, you can turn off the car by pressing the start button again. Here’s a crazy idea; what if that Doorman fob is screwed up and sending a spurious second start signal after 10 seconds? Or what if the button (intermittently) sticks and continues to send a signal?

Not saying that’s the problem, but at this point I might want to try programming an actual GM fob and see if the same thing happens.

What’s the point of spending money on a new GM fob and programming it ?
Why not just pop the back cover off the Dorman fob. Remote start the car. Then pull the battery out of the fob before 10 seconds. (Yeah. Might have to practice a few times 1st)
IF, it’s the fob sending some Twighlight Zone extra signal( rolls eyes) then removing the battery should tell you.

Hi guys here is an update for what's been done so far, I disconnected the negative lead of the battery and disconnected and reconnected the connectors to the BCM this proved to have no effect on the remote start issue the car still started and shut off after 10 seconds, next I cleaned the grounds in the engine Bay and loosened and retighten the engine fuse box if I make this fuse box any tighter the bolts are going to go into the fender well after doing this still no effect on the remote start the car will start and shut off. Just to be sure I checked the positioning of the hood latch to make sure that it's making full contact after readjusting the hood latch the remote start worked three times in a row and then on the fourth try started and then shut off, after I recycled the key turning the key on not starting the car then initiating remote start the car would start and continue to run this again worked three times in a row and then on the fourth try the car would start and then shut off again in about 10 seconds. I turned the key to the on position not turning the car on and then initiating remote start the car would start and continue to run that was yesterday this morning. I went out today and tried it and the car would start but again shut off after 10 seconds. I do not believe I have an oil pressure issue if this was true this car would never start this many times and continue to run intermittently. I think it's time to have the BCM flashed this is my next and final step. I'm looking into vendors that can flash the BCM and as soon as I get that done I'll provide you an update. And to address the statements about the key fobs, both key fobs do exactly the same thing both were programmed with the Dorman programmer and there's no difference the way they operate making the car turn on remote start and shutting off. I also have a 2010 Chevy HHR that didn't come with fobs I purchased the same fobs for the 2010 that I bought for the 2007 and reprogram these also with the Dorman programmer and the 2010 remote start works every time no issues so there you have it I'm off to find a vendor to flash my BCM this is going to cost me but I'm trying to get the best price I can if you guys have any vendors that you're aware of that can flash a BCM please let me know, thank you Mark. One other thing I'd like to mention is if I'm sitting in the car an initiate the remote start the car will start and if I put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position before it has a chance to shut off the car will continue to run this works every time, don’t know what this mean but wanted to share it.

Well. If you’re going to again ignore my suggestion about checking the oil pressure, then Good Luck.
I’m out.

Hello I'm not ignoring your suggestion about checking the oil pressure I still intend to do that however I think first I would like to try to get the BCM reprogrammed and then go from there, thanks

Hey guys I wanted to bring to you an interesting update that just happened, I received e-mail response from a vendor who can program my BCM and he asked me for the part number of my BCM so I go out to the car and unsnap the plastic in front of the BCM on the passenger side I take a few pictures of the Delphi sticker which has the part number snap the plastic piece back on tap it in with my hand and I'm about to leave the car and I thought I’d try remote start again I started the car with remote start and the car continued to run no issue then I shut it off with the key. I recycled the key to the on position and I initiated remote start again this time the car started and then shut off in about 10 seconds. So I thought I'd try this, I got into the passenger side of the car I turned the key to the on position then turned it off, lock the doors and started tapping with my fist on the plastic panel in front of the BCM I continued to tap the plastic panel while I initiated remote start the car started and continued to run. I did this 10 times and every time I tap the panel while I initiated remote start with my fob the car would start and continue to run no issues when I didn't tap the panel and initiated remote start the car would start and shut off within 10 seconds. My thoughts are now to completely disconnect and reconnect all connections from the BCM I also know there's a connector in back of the BCM that I can't see that might be loose I'm going to try this before reprogramming the BCM (because its free) but I’m also thinking there's a possibility there could be a bad or broken solder connection within the BCM that's causing this which makes sense while I'm tapping the panel in front of the BCM the connection is made and the car continues to run when I don't do it the car will start and then shut off I just wanted to get your thoughts on this thanks Mark

Carry on with your plan to address the loose connection in the BCM , your getting closer to the issue.

RVS is not designed for use while your sitting in the car, or with the ignition switch set to run, but your discovery of the Fonzie bump shows something is loose!

I tried to make that point earlier. A fob in someone's pocket or a sticky button.

Hi guys I thought I'd provide you an update, before I proceeded to take apart the BCM disconnect al the BCM connections I wanted to make sure that the behavior was consistent so this morning I turned the car on with the key, take the key out of the ignition lock the doors and hit remote start holding the FOB in my hand not in my pocket the car starts and then shuts off within 10 seconds I then repeated the same process however this time before initiating remote start on the FOB, sitting in the passenger seat I used a small rubber hammer and gently tapped the red connection to the BCM continuously while pressing the remote start and the car started and continued to run so at least I have a baseline of what the issue is there's something loose and/or not making a constant connection. Before I started to disconnect all the connections to the BCM and of course removing the negative end of the battery there's one BCM connection that's in the back of the BCM a grey connection. Using a ¼ inch drive I was able to snake in 7mm socket and tighten down the bolt on the grey connection on the back of the BCM I then started the car after completing this, I started the car with the key shut the car off removed the key from the ignition locked the doors an initiated remote start, the car started and continued to run no issues I did this same process 10 times, sometimes in the car sometimes out of the car and the car continues to run. I think now I can put this mystery to rest, the issue was the loose grey connection in the back of the BCM that needed to be tightened, just thought I'd let you guys know, thanks for all your help, have a great weekend, I’m playing the lottery tonight to see if my luck continues, Mark
