I prefer cold to heat. I can always add more layers of clothes to get warm but there is only so much I can take off before I'm nude and still hot. I hate extreme heat.

Ya know Cap, now that you mention it, my lights do whatever they want when I use the remote. And a few times nothing happened and I had to try several times to start. Never had a problem with the locks. Mine will be at the dealer next week for body work, so I guess I should have them check that while it's there.

TomsHHR Tip of the year!!!!

To Program a new key.
1. insert your present key, start and shut off the engine.
2. remove key.
3. insert new key within 30 seconds and turn on the ignition.
4. wait 10 seconds, then start your engine.
Your new key should now be programmed.

I bought 2 extra keys after I got my HHR and keep one in my travel bag for that "OOPS Moment" when somehow the TSA loses your keys for you.

TSA as in "Tough S**t America" ? The guys who ruin your luggage faster than a baggage handler?

I use my remote start pretty frequently myself, never had a problem....

I travel quite a bit and I put my keys in my brief case with my laptop as carry-on luggage so I don't have to worry about the TSA losing my keys....

They lost a set out of my carry on where my laptop is and I have a link I secure it to. Don't leave it in checked baggage.

Did they lose it going through X-ray? Trying to figure out how they lost it in your carry on... I don't trust them with anything important in checked baggage other than my clothes. I can always buy clothes if they lose those...

Okay kinda' off topic, but my wife has found a new use for the remote starter...freakin' out unsuspecting people parked next to the HHR! We were walking to the HHR last night and she said "watch this" and hit the remote as an older lady was unlocking her car. The lady jumped and was staring at the HHR like it was possessed...hahaha. My wife grinned and said "that never gets old"...She was so nice before we got the HHR !!!
