Replace Serpentine belt

Is there any info on replacing the serpentine belt? Ive searched but its showing me everything but this?
HHR passed inspections today but they say the belt is worn and starting to fray so I wanted to see if I can do it before having it done. Youtubes not much of a help with the rigged up tensioner hacks with prybar and jack... ( what is this special tool needed? ) as Id like more straight forward info on doing it rather than " prybar and jack, done" thats not showing the actual repair being done. Thanks for any help or advice as I dont want to cut it off then stuck to be towed. 2009 HHR

Right here, post #40. Prod has a couple pics of how he did it. I have done it this way 2 or 3 times, works great. So much easier than supporting the engine, taking the motor mount off, and using a special tool.

There is a long tool available that fits into the belt tensioner that makes changing the belt a 5-minute job.
Once the tension is off the belt it falls right out.

Did you find one that fits between the wheelwell and is short enough to turn? I found one that fit but the handle would need to be cut and it was a rental with a sale price way above my pay grade.

youtube has a wealth of info vids on repairs.

Just did mine, pass wheel off, inner fender out, access panel removed. use a prybar on a floor jack to take tension off, put the blade of the prybar on the square nub of the tensioner. worked like a champ for me. Vid below is basically what I did.
