Reporters seeks HHR owners for story
I am a reporter for a national publication and I'm working on a story and would like to talk to a few HHR owners -- especially anyone who never imagined buying a GM vehicle yet was so taken by the HHR's styling and features. Anyone just fall in love with the car and run out and buy one? Trade in a Toyota or Honda or Acura?
Or is there anyone out there who has been thinking about buying an HHR but is waiting for GM to increase the incentives and low-rate financing on the car?
Email me at basel282@yahoo.com or call 313 226 1256 and I'll explain.

Sounds like this could be a spammer. I did a quick search on google and also reverse phone lookup at whitepages.com and came up with the following.
(313) 226-1256
The name and address associated with this phone number are unlisted or private.
If this is something that's above board, I would want to know more about the "national publication" and see their website before I would even consider looking any further into this matter. Otherwise, I would venture to guess this person could be harvesting email addresses and/or phone numbers.
JMHO.

Same user ID on another HHR club on Dec 21. 3 Owners responded.
Could be spammer, Same wording exactly, same number and email address.
Right down to the NB in the corner.
You are wright Deb, if they did not have something to hid they would put the name of
the publication in the post.

This might possibly be so that there can be no bias in responses, in case there's any kind of prejudice in the interviews against their publication. 313 is a Detroit/Wayne County, Michigan area code, so the listed location matches the area code. There's two major auto magazines with offices in the 313 area code: Motor Trend and Automobile. This could be legit.
(The above was approved by the devil's advocate.)

The gentleman seems to be doing a great piece on GM and their turn around. He is very reputable. (I checked) I do not want to give out his name, but I am giving a full interview tomorrow. He writes for a very high profile paper. He is trying to be discreet. AMAP.
