I've hauled a washer and dryer in the back of my HHR. No problems.

I once tried to get golf clubs for three people in my HHR and my two buddies and it was a nightmare. Had to stack the bags on top of each other on the folded down, little seat. The bags were sliding and falling off each other and stuff. It was not a good set up.

I'm a little disappointed, I have an Impala which will swallow three bags in the trunk easily.
I totally agree. this was my biggest disappointment. I can fit my clubs in with the back seats up if I lay them diaganol, but it is a tight fit.

What good is it hauling 6 or 7 sets of clubs if your buddies are riding to the course in another vehicle. Sure it works if you're running some sort of delivery service

The HHR is pretty good at hauling stuff. I moved about two months ago and my mom moved two weeks ago. I hauled loads of boxes in the HHR and it was great.
Unfortunetly I find that space in the HHR is rather unusable when the seats are up.
