Scissor Jack Gone?

If I'm not mistaken, the HHR is supposed to have a scissor jack and lug wrench under the spare tire, correct? I just looked under my spare tire and there isn't one! Whoever had the car before me must have kept it.

That would sure make it tough to change a flat. I'd call around to the local recyclers (can't call 'em junkyards anymore) and find a replacement. Wouldn't think it would be very expensive.

Who did you buy the car off? If it was private, see if they still have it. If it was a dealer, you should tell them to find you one. I believe dealerships have to provide the cars they sell with some kind tire fix kit. Even if it is just an air pump and that Can of Mend a tire crap.

Was it a used purchase? If so most dealers sell "As Is" if they want to get picky. I'm sure a wrecking yard would have one if the dealer/seller isn't willing.
