My question is mainly for ChevyMgr, or anyone else that may know, i have the 2006 HHR 2LT, I would like to know what other model cars our seats are compatible with, I am trying to find a Laptop Desk Mount that will fit. These are the two websites I have right now, but neither list a HHR (of course).

Since nobody dared to reply....

My only statement is....I believe the seats were discussed way back when the 06's were first introduced. I think it was decided the seats are propriatary to the HHR. At least the mounting system is.

Side note.....When I'm alone, I put the passenger seatback down and use it for a desk. I use a piece of the non-slip shelf material, cut to the size of the lap-top to prevent it from creeping. The rest of the area is used for whatever.

 

I have the same problem The laptop mount I have uses the a bolt in the front of the front seat and on the hhr there is no bolt on the seat. no fix yet.

 

I have been told the other delta platform vehicle's have similar seat mounting methods.

since I dont own any other Delta platform GM car, I cannot verify this entirely, but I have been told the Cobalt seats and a direct swap.

I don't know if a cobalt-hhr seat swap would work, but I see a lot of business people that bring their hhr's in with the passenger seat back folded all the way down and their laptop sitting in the tray.

 

Any one know if the Cobalt (which I've never seen around here) and the HHR have the same front seat mounts? I found a Laptop Desk Mount that the Manufacturer says will fit the Cobalt http://www.pro-desks.com/car-navigator/index.htm

 

They are not the same other then both of them mount in front through slots. HHR is higher up and wider then the Cobalt. Please post this in your thread for others that might be seeking the same information. Floor pan is also differnet on both.

How does this bracket mount to the seat?

the Laptop desk bracket attaches some how to the seat rail, and then just a pressure bolt to the floorboard, since they (cobalt and HHR) both use the front slot, seems they wouild both have the same design. I think i'll go ahead and order this item, and then if it doesnt fit, either send it back or modify it to fit.
