Do I have an issue with my Security light (lock symbol in instrument panel cluster)?

1. When I exit vehicle and lock doors using FOB
it locks the doors making audible sound
and Security light comes and stays ON.

2. If I click the lock again
it makes audible lock sound again
and Security light starts blinking non stop every couple of seconds.

3. If when I exit behicle I lock the door manually
the Security light does Not come ON.

I do not remember the Security light behaving like this even after I replaced the battery.

 

There is a link to a digital Owner Manual in my sig. The light flashes when armed, it is armed when you lock all doors with fob.

 

It arms when you press the fob’s lock button twice

 

My re-collection is that the Security light did not use to come ON either when I pressed the FOB lock once or twice.

Could I just be mistaken about that? Is the light behaving as it was designed?

Thank you. I did read those pages but was not sure of what i was reading. Glad it is okay and don't have to use manual lock.

 

Your next question will be; how come the horn honks everytime I lock the door with the fob and unlock it with the key?
