Another factor that may tend to make people classify the HHR as a "gurly" car is the treatment that Chevy gave the HHR Transformer in their online Transformer's game. Tell me that HHR Transformer don't got boobs!?!?!?

Thats part of the reason why ours is still unnamed, the wife wants to give it a girl name and I just want to name it something cool.
The exact oppisite is happening to me. All the guys at work love the car. They all say "the car fits me". I'm 6'2", 230 #'s. I played football in college. Not a girly-man by any means. The VW bug...now that's a car i never see a man driving. Just MHO.

You know, that's right! Never thought about it before, but it seems like every one I see is driven by a Gal.

Don't know how you'd count us since we share one car. My hubby's going to be 67 this summer and I'll be 61 next month. Lets just say we're two oldies who love the retro look, and both of us saw some pass us up the year they first came out, and we both fell in love with it. We knew right then and there, the HHR would be our next car.........and we didn't even know what it was then.

I don't think it's a "girlie" car at all.

Several guys at work have told me they really like it, as well as several of the women.

In fact, I've gotten more compliments on my HHR than all the other vehicles I've ever owned combined, and I've owned a bunch over the years.

I don't think it's a girly car either. I was driving a 4-door VW Golf and really wanted to stick to a 4-door hatch when I replaced it. My Dad bought his HHR a couple months ago and after riding in it and driving, my mind was made up. I don't think he'd appreciate it if I told him it was a girly car.

Any way...backto the subject. I'm 47, male. I wanted somthing that got good milage and also stood out in a crowd. I'm not the type that wants to be 1 of the millions of Civic drivers. Love the old school look, and with gas up around $3.40 a gallon i love the mpg's.
